Today was the first day for the Converse 'A' Division Basketball competition. AJC's team was up against the team from Millenia Institute (MI). Both played a great game, and MI's spirit really showed throughout the whole match. One of their smaller sized boys were often pushed around by the AJCians, but I think he should be rewarded something like man of the match, because I could tell he tolerated alot and kept encouraging his team mates on within the last few minutes of the match, which actually went into an extra period. The scoreline throughout the course of the match sort of reminded me of the US and Soviet arms race, whereby they kept trying to best each other when the opponent was a couple of points ahead. One of the AJ guys even managed to pull off a slam-dunk, which just blew me off, because i have never seen it in real life and the umpires sort of went into discussion whether it should be allowed. In the end, it was allowed to be a goal, and yes, it was spectacular.
The winner of the match was thus AJC, but i have forgotten the final scores, haha. In the end, after the match and all the "thank you"s, there was an argument between the MI's coach and the head umpire. I think MI's coach blamed the umpire for bad judgement and then proceeded to scold him. Well, I didn't really take much notice about it because I was practically too excited about AJC's win. Haha, how bad can I be? =/
