had a great day today. it was the annual college road race. firstly, we had lessons till 11.15am, then we had our lunch. after that, i went for the mmm meeting which totally prevented me from going to xueheng's house. and this was the worst part: after the whole meeting, we had to reach bedok reservoir by 2.15pm and we (me and some other students) waited for the bus 58 for a freaking 25 minutes! oh what the hell. this was the only thing that got me so worked up. haha.

nothing significant really happened between my arrival at the reservoir and the start of the whole race thing, so i will skip right to the race. the competitors started earlier than the non-competitors and boy, they were fast. as we non-competitors were walking to the 500m mark, some of them were already a few hundred meters away from the finishing line, and my mouth was practically wide enough to let thousands of the sand flies swarming the area, into my mouth. how very "inviting". haha.

and so it started. we didn't really slack all the way, because we ran about 500m before stopping for the rest of atlas to come up. then we brisk walked again, ran past some people from the other houses, smiled at them, and sat down at the benches at the sides to observe them. then we watched them run past us, smiled at us and well, they continued walking. lol. then we decided to catch up on them again, as the bulk of atlas arrived and we ran, ran, and ran till the mascot race starting line. that's where the fun begins. making a grand entrance, is atlas house, with it's mascot sitted atop of a stretcher, with her "slaves" holding the stretches up for her, carrying her along to the finish line. fit for a queen, eh? haha.
